Skill Board Cycling Athletes
Originally from Rock Hill, SC, John moved to Colorado Springs, CO, in 2017 to train at the Olympic Training Center. In 2016 John attended his first European Track Cycling 6 days in Italy and then in 2017 he won his first US National Championship. His career would be filled with tons of ups and downs as he would go on to win two more National Championships, Pan American Games, and secure a US National Record in the Team Pursuit.

TJ started racing road bikes at the age of 11. At the age of 18 he signed his first pro contract with BMC development team. TJ lived and raced in Europe for 4years, living in the Belgium Ardennes and loving every min of it! TJ won the U23 National Time Trial championships when he was 22. At the age of 23 he came back to the USA to race for the American team Hincapie. In 2017 he won the redland classic overal and was a major player in all the big American races. Now deciding to blaze his own path and create his own brand/team IMAGINARY COLLECTIVE. Centered around being creative in the cycling world, focused on the creative aspects compared to results. TJ loves life!
Amateur MTB & Freeski Athlete
Luke Mallen is a 13 year old downhill, freeride mountain bike and freeski slopestyle athlete. At 3 years old he hopped on his first bike, and was riding in the bikepark by 4. He got his start on skis at Snowbird resort, and when he was old enough at 6 years, joined the Park City Freeski Team. Luke is the 2020 National USASA Slopestyle silver medalist, and has also been atop the podium at several bike events.When on his bike, Luke is known for sizing up some pretty large features either in Virgin, Utah or in the bikeparks. He has a love for all things bike, and was recognized at a young age by Commencal Bicycles, of which he is part of the USA team. He has also worked hard at becoming a coveted Outlaw MTB Tribe member. Some of the requirements of the Outlaw Way are to give back to the community through volunteer work, goal setting, meditation, reaching fitness goals and personal growth outside of riding his bike. Luke is very excited to be a part of the Skill Board family, as he uses the product to keep on his toes by working on his balance and plyometric stabilization to assist in preventing injury.
Amateur Freeride/Downhill MTB - Amateur Slopestyle Skier
Alex Mallen is 13 years old and twin brother to Luke. Alex is the 2018 Freeski National Slopestyle Gold medal winner, and has also been atop the podium at several USA Cycling events and races over the years. Alex is a coveted member of the Outlaw Tribe, where there are only 10 spaces to fill Nationwide. Alex really enjoys using his Skillboard to hone in on his focus and balance which ultimately assists him on his bike and skis.
